Fees: $39 for UT Residents, $49 for Non-residents, $15.75 for online renewal
Valid for five years
List of states that honor the Utah permit
Requirements:
1. Applicant must be at least 21 years of age
2. Proof of good character…whereas the applicant;
- has not been convicted of a felony;
- has not been convicted of any crime of violence;
- has not been convicted of any offense involving the use of alcohol;
- has not been convicted of any offenses involving the unlawful use of narcotics or
other controlled substances; - has not been convicted of any offenses involving moral turpitude;
- has not been convicted of any offense involving domestic violence;
- has not been adjudicated by a court of a state or of the United States as mentally incompetent, unless the adjudication has been withdrawn or reversed
3. Take course from a BCI Certified Utah Concealed Carry Permit Instructor
4. Fingerprints
5. FBI Background check (performed by BCI upon application)
6. Must be legal US Citizen or Resident
7. Non-resident proof of permit (if Utah has reciprocity with your resident state, you must supply proof of a permit from that state. If reciprocity does not exist, this is not required)
