Utah Concealed Firearms Permit with Shooting Component

Utah Concealed Weapons Permit Class

Our Basic Utah Concealed Firearms Permit class covers the material required to apply for your Utah permit—there is no shooting requirement. However, we stress in that class that people who plan to carry a concealed firearm owe it to themselves and those around them to get proper training. For that reason, we also offer our Permit Class with Shooting Component.

This 6 to 8-hour class includes the following:

  • Dry fire practice in-home or at a shooting range near you
  • Live fire practice at a shooting range near you
  • Personalized marksmanship coaching covering Sight Alignment, Sight Picture, and Trigger Control
  • Proper drawing of firearms and safe re-holstering with concealment
  • Malfunction clearances
  • Tactical and Emergency Reloads
  • …and more

This class also covers all of the Utah CFP standard class materials and topics:

  • Fingerprints on FBI fingerprint card
  • One passport-sized photo
  • A photocopy of your drivers license
  • Utah Concealed Weapon Permit Application
  • All instruction required by the state of Utah
  • Binder including the state mandated Minimum Training Curriculum for personal study – this includes the material we cover and the laws you’ll need to become familiar with
  • Basic firearm types, functions, and operation
  • Firearms safety on the street and in the home
  • Ammunition types and uses for self defense
